->VOX
This menu is used for programming timed events (see the section SYSTEM EVENTS). From the main configuration menu of the control unit,
use the ↑ / ↓ and/or pag ↑ / pag ↓ keys to move the selection point to the TIMER EVENTS DEFINITION submenu and press ENTER. The
fields described below appear on the control unit display.
N.
Indicates the progressive number of the timed event to be programmed. Up to 64 events can be programmed.
NAME
Used for defining the identification name of the timed event, which can be composed of a maximum of 16 alphanumerical
characters. Use the + and - keys to select the alphanumerical characters in rotation, and confirm each character with EN-
TER. The numerical characters can be selected directly on the numerical keypad.
RELAY N.OPEN Used for selecting a relay with normally open contact ("N.OPEN") to be switched to closed when the timed event is activa-
ted. The relay switches back to the normal position at the end of the period defined in the DUR. field, or at the end of the
playback of the audio signal if the timed event includes both audio signal playback and relay switching. Use the + and -
keys to select the name of the relay from those previously defined using the RELAY CONFIGURATION menu. If you choo-
se the NO RELAY option (default selection), no relay is selected.
RELAY N.CLOSE Used for choosing a relay with normally closed contact ("N.CLOSE") to be switched to open when the timed event is acti-
vated. The relay switches back to the normal position at the end of the period defined in the DUR. field, or at the end of the
audio signal playback if the timed event includes both audio signal playback and relay switching. Use the + and - keys to
select the name of the relay from those previously defined using the RELAY CONFIGURATION menu. If you choose the NO
RELAY option (default selection), no relay is selected.
MESSAGE
Used for choosing the audio file to be played when the timed event is activated. The audio signal is transmitted to the zo-
nes or groups of zones defined in the ZONE or GROUP field of this present menu. Use the + and - keys to select the na-
me of the audio signal desired among those in the library of audio signals provided with the system, or those created by
means of the RECORD, ASSEMBLY and TONE GENERATOR functions (see the section USING THE "RECORDER" ME-
NU). If you select the NO MESS. option (default selection), no audio signal is set.
DUR.
Field to be used when the timed event only involves switching of a relay with normally open contact and/or normally closed
contact. Used for defining the length of time the relays must remained switched. Use the + and - keys or the numerical
keypad to set the duration in the range from 0 to 999 seconds.
IMPORTANT NOTE
• The setting of the DUR. field has no effect when the timed event involves both audio signal playback ("MESSAGE" field
assignment) and switching of relays (RELAY N.OPEN and/or RELAY N.CLOSE field assignment).
ALLOWED TIME Used for choosing the two following times:
• event start time; i.e. the time at which the timed event begins to be executed (audio signal playback and/or switching of
open and/or closed relay).
• event end time; i.e. the last time by which the timed event can be executed.
Use the numerical keypad to set the two times expressed in hours and minutes.
RATE
Used for defining the cycle of the timed event in the interval of time defined in the ALLOWED TIME field; i.e. how often the
audio signal must be played and/or the relay with normally open contact and/or normally closed contact must be switched.
Use the numerical keypad to set the time expressed in hours and minutes (e.g. 1:30 to set a rate of 1 hour and 30 minutes).
ZONE
Used for choosing the audio zone for transmitting the signal selected in the MESSAGE field. Use the + and - keys to se-
lect the name of the zone from those previously defined using the OUTPUT PROCESSORS menu. If you choose the NO
ZONE option (default selection), no zone is selected; selecting the ALL ZONES option, all the zones are selected.
IMPORTANT NOTE
• To prevent malfunctions, or possible errors in the compilation of the system configuration files, it is indispensable to se-
lect only an audio zone in the ZONE field, or a group of zones in the GROUP field, but not both. When the selection
of one zone is made, the option NO GROUPS must always be selected in the GROUP field.
GROUP
Used for choosing the group of audio zones for transmitting the signal selected in the MESSAGE field. Use the + and -
keys to select the name of the group of zones from those previously defined using the GROUPS menu. If you choose the
NO GROUP option (default selection), no group is selected.
IMPORTANT NOTE
• To prevent malfunctions, or possible errors in the compilation of the system configuration files, it is indispensable to se-
lect only an audio zone in the ZONE field, or a group of zones in the GROUP field, but not both. When the selection
of a group of zones is made, the option NO ZONE must always be selected in the ZONE field.
