IMPORTANT NOTES
• The password cannot be stored if the characters entered in the TYPE THE PASSWORD field do not coincide with tho-
se entered in the RE-TYPE PASSWORD field.
• To save a new password it is not necessary to exit from the main configuration menu with the COMPILE & SAVE op-
tion.
• If you do not want to set any password, leave the TYPE THE PASSWORD and RE-TYPE PASSWORD fields empty.

->EXIT WITHOUT SAVING
The COMPILE & SAVE command is used when you want to exit from the main menu for system configuration and permanently save all the
settings made in a number of configuration files which are stored on the hard disk of the control unit.
To save the configuration files, use the ↑ / ↓ and/or pag ↑ / pag ↓ keys to move the selection point to the submenu COMPILE & SAVE and
press ENTER.
If the save is successful, the program exits from the configuration menu and returns to the main menu. To implement the configuration made,
proceed as described in the section STORING A CONFIGURATION.
If any configuration errors occur during the save operation, the related messages are shown on the display and it is not possible to complete
the save operation until all the causes of the errors have been removed (see the section CONFIGURATION ERRORS). This prevents the crea-
tion of possible conflicts between the various devices which could cause a blockage of the system.
IMPORTANT NOTE
• If the system is configured incorrectly on the configuration menus and error messages are displayed during the use of the COMPILE & SA-
VE command, you can only exit from the configuration menu without correcting the errors found using the EXIT WITHOUT SAVING com-
mand; in this case, all the modifications made are lost.
CONFIGURATION ERRORS
When configuration errors are found during the use of the COMPILE & SAVE command, the related error messages are shown on the con-
trol unit display. These messages indicate the cause of the error in a simple and direct way so that you can correct them. For each error found,
a different screen appears with the following indications.
• Error number and total number of errors.
• Indication of the device or event to which the error refers.
• Indication of the cause of the error.
To display the other error messages, use the pag ↑ key (subsequent error) and pag ↓ key (previous error). The screen below shows an exam-
ple of an error. In this example, the CONSOLES menu was used to configure a digital console called BM 3616 N.1 to which no audio input
was assigned using the INPUT PROCESSORS menu. In this case, to eliminate the error you need to configure an audio input of the CON-
SDIG 1 type (TYPE = CONSDIG 1 field).
