USING THE "MONITOR OPERATIONS" MENU

MONITOR OPERATIONS
This menu makes it possible to use the "monitor" function for listening to the audio signals of the following system devices:
• inputs of the IB 3210 / IB 3280 AUDIO INPUT boards.
• outputs of the OB 3230 AUDIO OUTPUT boards.
• speaker outputs of the amplifiers controlled by the A.C.U.s (RB 3300 back-amplifier boards).
The monitor speaker of the control unit is used for listening to the signals. From the AUDIO PROCESS menu of the control unit, use the ↑ /
↓ and/or pag ↑ / pag ↓ keys to move the selection point to the MONITOR OPERATIONS submenu and press ENTER. The fields described
below appear on the control unit display.

SOURCE
Indicates the type of signal selected for monitoring. The following may appear:
• NO -
• INPUT -
• OUTPUT - Indicates monitoring of the outputs of the OB 3230 AUDIO OUTPUT boards.
• ACU -
DURATION
Indicates the time elapsed from the start of monitoring of the source currently indicated in the ACTUAL field.
ACTUAL
Indicates the specific source currently selected for monitoring. When the IB 3210 / IB 3280 AUDIO INPUT boards are mo-
nitored, the name of the input currently being monitored is indicated; when the OB 3230 AUDIO OUTPUT boards are moni-
tored, the name of the output currently being monitored is indicated; when the A.C.U. is monitored, the identification num-
ber of the A.C.U. currently being monitored is indicated.
MODE
Indicates the monitoring method. The following may appear:
• MANUAL - Indicates that the manual mode is selected, which makes it possible to monitor a specific source.
• AUTO -
LIV. dB
Indicates the level of the signal being monitored in decibels. When the "monitor" function is not activated, the message
<STOPPED> appears in the field.
To activate the monitoring operation, press F1; to interrupt monitoring, press F2; to configure the "monitor" function, press
F3 (see the section CONFIGURING THE "MONITOR" FUNCTION below).
CONFIGURING THE "MONITOR" FUNCTION
To display the submenu used for configuring the "monitor" function, from the initial screen of the "MONITOR OPERATIONS" menu, press F1.
The following screen appears on the control unit display.

MODE
Used for selecting the operating mode of the audio monitoring. Use the + and - keys to select one of the following modes:
• MANUAL - Indicates the manual monitoring mode, where you can manually select to monitor:
• AUTO -
IMPORTANT NOTE
• In AUTO mode, it is not possible to have the scanning of more than one type of source at a time (e.g. INPUT and OUT-
PUT or INPUT and A.C.U.).
• Up to 120 A.C.U.s can be included in the system. Therefore, consider carefully the use of automatic monitoring in this
condition, as it would require a time of 20 minutes!

F3 CONFIG.
Indicates that no source is selected.
Indicates monitoring of the inputs of the IB 3210 / IB 3280 AUDIO INPUT boards.
Indicates monitoring of the A.C.U.s (RB 3300 back-amplifier boards).
Indicates that the automatic mode is selected, which makes it possible to monitor all the sources of the ty-
pe indicated in the SOURCE field in sequence for 10 seconds.

• any speaker output of the amplifiers controlled by the A.C.U.s (RB 3300 back-amplifier boards).
Indicates the automatic monitoring mode, where you can listen in sequence for 10 seconds to:
• all the inputs of the IB 3210 / IB 3280 AUDIO INPUT boards.
• all the outputs of the OB 3230 AUDIO OUTPUT boards.
• all the speaker outputs of the amplifiers controlled by the A.C.U.s (RB 3300 back-amplifier boards).
The scanning of the various sources is completely automatic.
