KEY F3 These 3 fields are used for defining the function of the F1, F2, F3 keys of the console. Use the + and - keys to select the de-
sired function in each field from those described below.
• DISABLED - Key disabled; no function associated (default selection).
• PLAY - Key configured for controlling the playback of an audio signal stored as a file on the hard disk of the CP 3100 con-
trol unit (see the section AUDIO SIGNAL RECORDING/PLAYBACK).
• RELAY - Key configured to control the switching of one or two relays of the IO 3250 digital INPUT/OUTPUT boards: one
with normally closed contact (CLOSED) and/or one with normally open contact (OPEN).
IMPORTANT NOTE
• The PLAY and RELAY functions are mutually exclusive; i.e. it is not possible to select one when the other has been selected.
When one of the F1, F2, F3 keys of the console has been enabled, to program the related PLAY or RELAY function you have
to access a dedicated submenu by pressing F3 (see the section PROGRAMMING THE F1, F2, F3 KEYS).
The first screen only shows the first 3 fields (CONS., NAME, PASSWORD) of the first 3 consoles. To display the next field, press →; to display
the previous field, press ←.

PROGRAMMING THE "ZONE/GROUP" KEYS
To access the submenu used for programming the 16 zone/group selection keys of each console, move the selection point to any of the fields
to be configured and press F1. The fields described below appear on the control unit display.
KEY Indicates the number of the zone/group selection key to be programmed.
ZONE Used for selecting the audio zone to be associated to the zone/group selection key of the console. Use the keys + and - to select
the name of the zone from those previously defined using the OUTPUT PROCESSORS menu. If the NO ZONE option is chosen (de-
fault selection), no zone is selected.
IMPORTANT NOTE
• To prevent errors during the compilation of the system configuration files, it is indispensable to select only an audio zone in the
ZONE field, or a group of zones in the GROUP field, but not both. When the selection of a zone is carried out, the NO GROUP
option must always be selected in the GROUP field.
GROUP Used for selecting the group of audio zones to be associated to the zone/group selection key of the console. Use the + and - keys
to select the name of the group of zones from those previously defined using the GROUPS menu. If you choose the NO GROUP
option (default selection), no group is selected.
