After defining the source and the name of the audio file, press F1 to start the recording; press F2 to end the recording. The re-
cording terminates automatically after 60 seconds. When the recording is completed, press ESC to exit from the submenu and
proceed as described in the section EXIT FROM A MENU.
IMPORTANT NOTE
• We recommend that you avoid completely occupying the hard disk of the control unit with audio files created using the
RECORD function.
PLAY
This function makes it possible to listen locally, by means of the monitor speaker on the control unit, to the audio signals
stored on the hard disk of the CP 3100 unit (see the section AUDIO SIGNAL RECORDING/PLAYBACK). This function is use-
ful for carrying out a listening test on the various audio files (e.g. messages, announcements, pre-announcement or alarm
tones, etc.). To use this function, move the selection point to this item of the menu and press ENTER. The following screen
appears on the control unit display.
PLAY A MESSAGE
MESSAGE NAME:
DURATION:
PLAY A MESSAGE: used for choosing the name of the audio file to be played. Use the + and - keys to select the
name of the audio signal desired from those present in the library of audio signals provided with the system, or those
created by means of the RECORD, ASSEMBLY and TONE GENERATOR functions.
DURATION: bar indicator that represents the time elapsed from the beginning of the playback with respect to the to-
tal duration of the audio signal, which is represented by the entire length of the bar. When playback is not in progress,
the message STOPPED is displayed.
After choosing the name of the audio file, press F1 to start the playback. Playback terminates automatically at the end of
the recorded signal. Press F2 to interrupt playback before the end. To exit from the submenu, press ESC.
IMPORTANT NOTE
• It is not possible to use the PLAY function when a system audio source monitor operation is in progress (see the section
USING THE "MONITOR OPERATIONS" MENU). In this case, in fact, if F1 is pressed (playback start command) an acoustic
warning signal is emitted. To play the audio files, it is therefore necessary to first interrupt any audio monitoring in progress.
ASSEMBLY
Move the selection point to this menu item and press ENTER to create an audio file from the assembly of a maximum of 6
single audio files related to messages, announcements, pre-announcement or alarm tones, etc. The complete audio signal
will therefore correspond to the succession of the single audio signals. The following screen appears on the control unit di-
splay.
