STORING A CONFIGURATION ("STORE CONFIG." menu)

When a configuration is stored, all the devices of the system are programmed with the settings contained in the configuration files, which can
be generated by means of the COMPILE & SAVE command of the configuration menu of the control unit, or by means of a configuration PC
where present. The devices programmed are the following:
• BM 3616 digital consoles.
• RB 3300 back-amplifier boards.
• IO 3250 digital INPUT/OUTPUT boards.
• IB 3210 / IB 3280 AUDIO INPUT boards.
• OB 3230 AUDIO OUTPUT boards.
This procedure is necessary when:
• a system component is added or removed.
• the address of a system component is changed.
• the system configuration files are modified by means of the CP 3100 control unit.
• a system component previously removed for repairs is re-inserted.
IMPORTANT NOTE
• Configuration storing is not necessary when settings are changed using the AUDIO PROCESS menu (see the section AUDIO SETTINGS).
Two different methods can be used for programming the devices of the system, as described in the following sections.

PROGRAMMING DEVICES USING THE MENUS

1) From the main menu the control unit, press F3 (MEMOR. CONFIG.). A message appears on the display requesting that you enter the pas-
sword of the control unit, where present (see the section PASSWORD FOR MENU ACCESS).
2) Using the numerical keypad, enter the password of the control unit (where required) and press ENTER: all the system devices will be au-
tomatically programmed.

IMPORTANT NOTES
• When a new configuration is stored, all the system devices are reset.
• Storing of a new configuration cannot be carried out when an absolute priority event is in progress (e.g. EMERGENCY, FIREMAN 1,
FIREMAN 2).

PROGRAMMING DEVICES BY MEANS OF SYSTEM RESTART

1) Switch off the system.
2) Restart the system, re-supplying power to all the devices.

COMPILATION ERRORS

During the programming of the system devices, errors may occur due to incorrect configuration of the fields of the system configuration me-
nus (F1: CONFIGURATION menu). When errors occur, the message ERROR! appears on the control unit display, followed by an indication
of the type of error.
