AUDIO LEVEL DISPLAY

A special menu displays a VU bar which indicates the level of the audio signal.
This indication makes it possible to:
• check and adjust the audio signal level on the inputs of the IB 3210 / IB 3280 AUDIO INPUT boards.
• check and adjust the audio signal level on the OB 3230 AUDIO OUTPUT boards.
• check the audio signal level on the speaker outputs of the power amplifiers controlled by the A.C.U.s (RB 3300 back-amplifier boards).
The VU bar can display audio signals at a level between -12 dB and +6 dB.

ACOUSTIC SIGNALLER OPERATION

The control unit is equipped with an acoustic signaller (buzzer), which emits a continuous sound in the following circumstances:
• during the system self-configuration phase.
• when a warning/alarm is activated (see the section SYSTEM ALARMS). To switch off the buzzer in these situations, you have to access the
menu for alarm status display (see the section ALARM STATUS DISPLAY).
This operation does not disactivate the alarm itself, but only the alarm indication.
The acoustic signaller emits a single "beep" in every situation where it is necessary to give a warning.

DISPLAY BACK-LIGHTING

The back-lighting of the LCD on the unit lights up in the following circumstances:
• whenever a key on the front panel of the control unit is pressed; a timer automatically switches off the display back-lighting after approxi-
mately 2 minutes from the last key pressing.
• when the system is switched on; in this case, the back-lighting stays on until the self-configuration phase is completed.
• when the system configuration menus are used (CONFIGURATION menu); in this case, the back-lighting stays on until you exit from the
configuration menu (timer excluded).

EQUIPMENT SWITCH-ON

After the CP 3100 control unit has been switched on, it loads the system management program and carries out the system self-configuration,
which consists of detecting all the devices installed and programming them with the settings contained in the system configuration files sto-
red on the hard disk. The following message appears on the control unit display:
RCF RX 3000 AUDIO SYSTEM
SYSTEM CONFIGURATION STARED
PLEASE WAIT ...
" # # # # # # # # # # # # # #

CORRECT SYSTEM CONFIGURATION

On termination of the system self-configuration procedure, if the system is correctly configured the following message appears on the control
unit display, which contains the main menu of the unit.
RCF RX 3000 AUDIO SYSTEM
F1: CONFIGURATION
F2: ALARMS
" # # # # # # # # # # # # # #

ERRORS IN SYSTEM CONFIGURATION

On termination of the system self-configuration procedure, if the system has not been correctly configured; i.e. if the number of system
components which have been previously configured (using the menu of the control unit) does not coincide with the number of system com-
ponents actually found and correctly configured, the following message appears on the control unit display:
RCF RX 3000 AUDIO SYSTEM
WRONG SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
F1: CONFIGURATION
F2: RUN->
In this condition, two possible choices are displayed, to be selected using the F1 or F2 key.
• F1: CONFIGURATION
• F2: RUN->
03 NOV 1999
F3: STORE CONFIG.
F4: AUDIO PROCESS
03 NOV 1999
Press F1 to configure the system in a different way in order to eliminate the configuration errors. See the section
SYSTEM CONFIGURATION for the use of the various functions of the submenus.
Press F2 to access the main menu of the unit, without correcting the configuration errors detected.
IMPORTANT NOTE
• If the configuration errors detected are not corrected, some of the system functions may be compromised, as
certain devices will be considered "absent".
