OVERRIDE FUNCTION BY AN EVENT WITH ABSOLUTE PRIORITY

When an event with absolute priority takes place, any other events in progress with lower priority which are using the devices needed for the
priority event are interrupted and terminated (override function), and are not restored on termination of the priority event (except for the
BACKGROUND MUSIC event). The table below describes the actions affecting each event overridden.

PRIORITY
DESCRIPTION
LEVEL
ABSOLUTE
These events have the maximum priority. Any events with a lower
priority that are using the devices needed for the absolute priority
event are interrupted (override function). All the audio outputs used
by the interrupted events are disconnected, even those not invol-
ved in the absolute priority event.
These events have the highest priority level after the absolute prio-
1
rity events. When there are several events with different priority le-
vels (except for absolute priority events) waiting to be executed,
the timed event is the first to be carried out. The timed events do
not have the override function; i.e. they cannot interrupt events in
progress having the same or lower priority level.
The events controlled from the BM 3616 digital consoles can have
2 ÷ 7
variable priority levels from 2 to 7, depending on the settings ma-
de using the configuration menu (CONSOLES menu). These
events do not have the override function; i.e. they cannot interrupt
events in progress having the same or lower priority level.
These events have the lowest priority level. They can only interrupt
8
BACKGROUND MUSIC events, and do not have the override
function; i.e. they cannot interrupt events in progress having the
same or lower priority level.
9
These events can be interrupted by any other event.
