(4) M1 and M2 terminal strips
Used for supplying the sub-rack with the power supply voltages 5 Vdc, 12 Vdc, and 24 Vdc. The two terminal strips are connected to
each other in parallel in order to facilitate the connections when the system has more than one MB 3200 sub-rack: one terminal strip
can be used for the input of the three power supplies and the other can be used as an output for supplying the subsequent sub-rack.
(5) F2 protection fuse
This quick type 2 A fuse protects the circuits supplied at 12 Vdc.
(6) F3 protection fuse
This quick type 4 A fuse protects the circuits supplied at 24 Vdc.
(7) F1 protection fuse
This quick type 2 A fuse protects the circuits supplied at 5 Vdc.
(8) Unusable devices
(9) IDC1 ÷ 8 connectors
These connectors are used for connecting the audio inputs of the IB 3210 / IB 3280 AUDIO INPUT boards with the respective 12-ter-
minal connection boards. Each AUDIO INPUT board is connected by means of two connectors (e.g. IDC1 and IDC2), each of which
enables the connection of 4 audio inputs with one 12-terminal connection board. The connectors marked with odd numbers are rela-
ted to the four inputs of the AUDIO INPUT boards (e.g. inputs 1 to 4), and the connectors marked with even numbers are related to the
remaining four inputs (e.g. inputs 5 to 8).
(10) JP1 and JP2 jumpers
These two jumpers are used for terminating the RS 485 serial line that interconnects the MB 3200 sub-racks with the CP 3100 control unit.
(11) CN6 connector
Used for connecting the RS 485 serial line leading from the CP 3100 control unit or from the previous MB 3200 sub-rack.
(12) CN7 connector
Used for connecting the RS 485 serial line leading to the subsequent MB 3200 sub-rack (where present).
(13) DL1 indicator light
This LED lights up to indicate that the sub-rack is supplied at 5 Vdc.
(14) DL2 indicator light
This LED lights up to indicate that the sub-rack is supplied at 12 Vdc.
(15) DL3 indicator light
This LED lights up to indicate that the sub-rack is supplied at 24 Vdc.
(16) J4A ÷ J4H connectors
These 8 connectors are used for connecting the 16 GPI inputs of an IO 3250 digital INPUT /OUTPUT board with the corresponding 20-
terminal connection board.
(17) M3 and M4 terminal strips
Used for transmitting to the CP 3100 control unit the monitor audio signal coming from the various MB 3200 sub-racks, which is rela-
ted to the inputs of IB 3210 / IB 3280 AUDIO INPUT boards or to the outputs of the OB 3230 AUDIO OUTPUT board. The monitor si-
gnal can then be listened to by means of the loudspeaker on the front panel of the control unit. The two terminal strips are connected
to each other in parallel in order to facilitate the connections when the system includes more than one MB 3200 sub-rack: one termi-
nal strip can be used for the output of the monitor signal directed toward the CP 3100 control unit, and the other one can be used for
the input of the monitor signal coming from the subsequent sub-rack (where present).
(18) J3A ÷ J3H connectors
These 8 connectors are used for connecting the audio outputs of an OB 3230 AUDIO OUTPUT board, or the output relays of an IO 3250
digital INPUT/OUTPUT board, with the respective 32-terminal connection board. When an OB 3230 AUDIO OUTPUT board is installed
in correspondence with a connector, the related board with terminals enables the connection of 8 audio outputs; when an IO 3250 di-
gital INPUT/OUTPUT board is installed in correspondence with a connector, the related board with terminals enables the connection of
the contacts of 24 output relays.
