This menu is used for programming the BM 3616 digital consoles. From the main configuration menu of the control unit, use the ↑ / ↓ and/or
pag↑ / pag↓ keys to move the selection point to the submenu CONSOLES and press ENTER. The fields described below appear on the con-
trol unit display.
CONS.
Indicates the identification number of the BM 3616 digital console to be programmed. This number is set locally on the con-
sole by means of the address assignment procedure (see the installation and operation manual for the BM 3616 console).
NAME
Used for defining the identification name of the console, which can be composed of a maximum of 16 alphanumerical cha-
racters. Use the + and - keys to select the alphanumerical characters in rotation, and confirm each character with ENTER.
The numerical characters can be selected directly on the numerical keypad.
PASSWORD
Used for defining the password for blocking use of the console. The password can contain up to a maximum of 8 numerical
characters. The numerical characters available are those which can be selected among the first 8 numerical keys of the con-
sole; i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
Use the + and - keys to select the numerical characters in rotation, and confirm each character with ENTER. The characters
can be selected directly on the numerical keypad.
If no character is entered in the field, and 8 blank spaces are left, no password is defined.
IMPORTANT NOTES
• In order to not define any password, 8 blank spaces must be left.
• In assigning the password, keep the following limitations in mind:
a. It is not possible to insert blank spaces between two numerical characters of the password.
b. It is not possible to insert blank spaces before the numerical characters of the password.
The examples shown in the table below can provide further clarification on password definition.

ps of zones associated with the numerical keys of the console (keys 1 to 16).
