This menu is used for configuring the VOX device (VOX detector) present on each OB 3230 AUDIO OUTPUT board. For further information
about the function of the VOX device, see the section "VOX" DEVICE. From the main configuration menu of the control unit, use the ↑ / ↓
and/or pag ↑ / pag ↓ keys to move the selection point to the VOX submenu and press ENTER. The fields described below appear on the
control unit display.

AUDIO OUT

Indicates the OB 3230 AUDIO OUTPUT board on which to configure the VOX device. The board is identified by means of the
number of outputs belonging to it (e.g. OUT 01:08 = AUDIO OUTPUT board with outputs from number 1 to number 8).
INPUT VOX
Used for defining the input to be used by the VOX device of the AUDIO OUTPUT board. The same INPUT VOX input can
be specified for multiple VOX devices. Use the + and - keys to select the name of the input among the first 8 inputs of the
system, defined by means of the INPUT PROCESSORS menu. If you select the NO INPUT option (default selection), no in-
put is selected.
IMPORTANT NOTE
• The INPUT VOX input used by each VOX device can only be chosen from the first 8 inputs of the system (inputs 1- 8
of AUDIO INPUT board number 1).
RELAY VOX
Used for defining the relay to be switched when, with activation of the VOX function, the INPUT VOX input is connected
with one of the outputs of the OB 3230 AUDIO OUTPUT board indicated in the AUDIO OUT field. The relay must be the sa-
me for the same INPUT VOX input. Use the + and - keys to select the name of the relay from those with normally open
contact or normally closed contact previously defined by means of the RELAY CONFIGURATION menu. If you choose the
NO RELAY option (default selection), no relay is selected.
IMPORTANT NOTE
• To prevent malfunctions, or possible errors during the compilation of the system configuration files, it is indispensable
that the relay indicated in the RELAY VOX field not be used for other functions (for example, it must not be used as a
"feedback" relay for a BM 3604 console).
IMPORTANT NOTE
• If the fields of the VOX menu are filled in for a certain OB 3230 AUDIO OUTPUT board without activating the VOX function on any of its out-
puts (by means of the AUDIO OUTPUT PROCESSORS menu), no error is generated during the compilation of the configuration files.
