Wait until the baseline has been set and you hear an audible signal.
•
Now execute one full inspiratory pump stroke followed by one full expiratory pump stroke at
moderate speed.
•
After you perform the maneuver, you will see the text "Accuracy confirmed" at the top of the
display and, beneath it, the percentage deviation and the average flow velocity of the pump
stroke.
•
You can repeat the test, print the result or quit the program. The calibration test remains stored
and can also be viewed or printed out later.
If you do not reach ±3% accuracy, please follow the troubleshooting instructions in Chapter 14. Please
contact the After-Sales Servicing Department at GE Medical Systems Information Technologies
(http://www.gehealthcare.com) if you are unable to remedy the fault or error even by following this
information.

14 Troubleshooting Tips

The table below provides a few tips for simple troubleshooting, should you have problems operating
your spirometer.
Problem
EasyOne-CS cannot be switched on
Three consecutive tones sound as a
warning signal when the EasyOne-
CS is switched on
A self-test error message is dis-
played when the EasyOne-CS is
switched on
You are prompted to enter the date
etc. each time you switch on
The following message is displayed
after a test is started: "Please insert
spirette™ correctly"
EasyOne-CS is out of the ±3 %
range in the calibration check
There is no curve on the printout
Only meaningless characters are
printed out or the printer is not

Solution
Insert new batteries.
Insert the batteries correctly (see
Chapter 4.1.)
Press the ON/OFF key for at least 2
seconds.
Consult your EasyOne dealer.
Switch off the instrument and
switch it back on again. Try again. If
the error reoccurs, please contact
your EasyOne dealer.
Consult your EasyOne dealer.
Ensure that the triangle on the spi-
rometer is lined up with the triangle
on the spirette™.
Insert the spirette™ as described in
Chapter4.1.
Use the ndd calibration adapter.
Check the connections.
Choose the correct syringe volume
under "Configuration".
Replace the cartridge.
Choose the right printer in the
PRINT SETTINGS menu.
Switch off the spirometer and the
printer. Check all plug connections.
