8 Device Configuration

The device configuration can be selected in the EasyWare software (Device Configuration in the View
menu) or directly in EasyOne. If you wish to change the device configuration directly in EasyOne,
choose the DEVICE CONFIGURATION option in the main menu. You will now see the Configuration menu.
The tables below provide an overview of the setting options offered by EasyOne-CS. Choose the corre-
sponding option as required.

8.1 Operating modes 'Diagnostic', 'Frontline' and 'NLHEP.'

The EasyOne-CS spirometer has three operating modes to choose from:
Diagnostic mode offers you all available tests and setting options. Spirometry tests can be
conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the ATS (American Thoracic Society) and ERS
(European Respiratory Society).
NLHEP mode allows you to conduct spirometry tests in accordance with the greatly simplified
recommendations of the 'National Lung Health Education Program' [4].
Frontline mode allows you to conduct simple expiration tests quickly. The NLHEP recommenda-
tions have been broadened slightly for this.
The differences between the operating modes are described in the table below.
