Note: The Magnum biopsy instrument must be in the 22mm position as this

Initial Rinse
Prepare a rinse bath with cool tap water.

instrument is not recommended.
With the lid open, rinse the instrument by a) agitating the instrument under the
water level, b) bringing the instrument above the water level, and c) re-immersing
the instrument under the water level. Repeat this process until there is no visible
evidence of the cleaning solution.
Note: The instrument should not be rinsed under running water as this may
cause splashing and contamination of user.
AUTOMATED CLEANING METHOD AND THERMAL DISINFECTION
With the lid open, place the instrument in the washer-disinfector with the internal
mechanisms facing the ceiling of the washer-disinfector. Take care to not place
other instruments on the Magnum
Process the instrument through to the following cycle:

Inspect the instrument to ensure that all debris or soil has been removed.
Inspection should be performed in a well-lit area.
If there is any visible evidence of debris or soil, repeat all the aforementioned steps
until there is no visible evidence of debris or soil remaining.
