Maintenance
NOTICE
If the threaded holes (Fig. II/III, Item 14b) are not present in the motor housing, it is
not necessary to move the transport lugs.
8.
Attach motor impeller unit to the transport lugs with suitable lifting equipment for
protection (Fig. 6).
9.
Loosen and remove the screws (Fig. I/III, Item 29).
⇒ We recommend that you use two mounting bolts instead of two screws (Fig. I/
III, Item 29). The installation bolts are screwed diagonally to each other through
the drilled hole in the lantern (Fig. I, Item 36) into the pump housing (Fig. I,
Item 24).
NOTICE
When attaching the lifting equipment, avoid damaging the plastic parts such as the
fan wheel and module upper part.
10. Loosen and remove the screws (Fig. I/III, Item 10). Use the outer screws (Fig. 99,
Item 1) depending on the pump type. The motor impeller unit remains securely in
the pump housing after the screws have been removed. There is no danger of tip-
ping even if the motor shaft is horizontal.
NOTICE
An offset wrench or socket wrench with ball head is best suited for unscrewing the
screws (Fig. I/III, Item 10), especially for pump types with limited space available. We
recommend that you use two mounting screws (see section "Turning the motor im-
peller unit" [} 155]) instead of two screws (Fig. I/III, Item 10) which are screwed in di-
agonally to each other in the pump housing (Fig. I, Item 24). The installation bolts
make it easier to avoid damaging the impeller when dismantling the motor impeller
unit and then reinstalling it.
