• Varietà: pomodoro, insalata, cavolo, broccoli, ca-
volfiore, tabacco, porro, sedano.
• Zolletta: normale o super seedling, comunque
consistente.
• Seminiera: può essere sia in plastica che in po-
listirolo e termodeformato (se di sufficiente consi-
stenza).
• Le piante devono essere seminate in centro nell'al-
veolo, devono essere robuste e diritte.
• Il livello della torba nell'alveolo non deve essere
eccessiva perché favorirebbe la comparsa di radi-
ci superficiali che si intreccerebbero con gli alveoli
adiacenti.
• Le piante devono essere coltivate in serra sollevate
da terra per evitare che le radici fuoriescano intrec-
ciandosi fra loro.

FEATURES OF THE
SEEDER
• Varieties: tomato, lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, to-
bacco, leek, celery.
• Clod: normal or super seedling, in either case firm.
• Seeder: may be made of plastic or polystyrene and
thermo-formed (if sufficiently rigid).
• Plants should be sown in the centre of the cell, and
be strong and upright.
• The soil level in the cell should not be too high as
this would encourage surface roots that intertwine
with adjacent cells.
• Plants should be grown in a raised position in gre-
enhouses, to prevent intertwining of roots between
cells.
