5. Troubleshooting
Trouble
●Alarm buzzer
sounds and alarm
lamps go on
during operation
○Eng. L.O. Press.
Warning Lamp
goes on.
○Marine gear lube oil
pressure warning light
goes on. (if having)
○C.W. Temp.(Fresh
Water) Warning
Lamp goes on.
○Fuel Oil Warning
Lamp goes on. (if having)
●Warning Devices
are Faulty.
When Switch is
Turned ON:
○Alarm buzzer
does not sound
○Warning lamps
do not go on
-Eng. L.O. Press, Exhaut.
○Charge lamp does
not go on.
When the Key Returned
to ON from START after
Engine Starting:
○Buzzer keeps on
sounding
○One of the warning
lamps does not go out.
Probable Cause
[NOTICE]
Shift to low speed operation immediately, check which lamp has
come on and stop the engine for inspection.
If no abnormality is identified and there is no problem with opera-
tion, return to port at your lowest speed and request repairs.
Engine L.O. insufficient;
L.O. filter clogged.
Insufficient marine gear
lube oil
Fresh water cooler
water level low.
Cooling seawater
discharge insufficient
Contamination inside
the cooling system.
F.O. tank fuel level low.
[NOTICE]
Do not run the engine with alarm devices still unrepaired.
Trouble will progress and a serious problems may result.
Circuit broken or
buzzer defective.
(Note) Other warning lamps do not go on when the switch is
turned on. They only go on when there is an abnormality.
Circuit broken or lamp
burnt out.
Short-circuit (if lamp
goes out)
Sensor switches faulty
