WATER TEMPERATURE AND/OR OIL LEVEL INDICATOR LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON.
Check the water temperature and/or oil
level indicator light bulb(s).
Refer to "LIGHTING SYSTEM".
OK NO CONTINUITY
For VX700DX/VT700:
Check the main fuse,
"IGNITION" fuse and "HEAD" fuse.
Refer to "FUSE INSPECTION" in CHAPTER 2.
OK FAULTY
For VX700DX/VT700:
Check the battery.
Refer to "BATTERY INSPECTION" in CHAPTER 2.
OK OUT OF SPECIFICATION
For VX700/SX700/MM700:
Check the condenser.
Refer to "IGNITION SYSTEM".
OK OUT OF SPECIFICATION
Check the stator coil and pickup coil.
Refer to "IGNITION SYSTEM".
OK OUT OF SPECIFICATION
Check the main switch.
Refer to "IGNITION SYSTEM".
OK FAULTY
Check the water temperature
sensor or oil level switch.
OK FAULTY
Check the load control relay.
Refer to "IGNITION SYSTEM".
OK FAULTY
Correct the connection and/or
replace the rectifier/regulator
and/or CDI unit.
SIGNAL SYSTEM
Replace the bulb(s).
Replace the main fuse, "IGNITION" fuse and/or
"HEAD" fuse.
Replace and/or charge the battery.
Refer to "BATTERY CHARGING" in CHAPTER 2.
Replace the condenser.
Replace the stator coil assembly.
Replace the main switch.
Replace the water temperature sensor or oil level
switch.
Replace the load control relay.
NOTE:
The water temperature indicator light come on for a
few seconds after the engine starts. If the light does
not come on, check the indicator light circuit and bulb.
