6. To turn to the left or right act on the
handlebars as described in the "Power
Assisted Steering" chapter;
7. To activate the tool, use the lever [22].

5.9. WORKING ON SLOPES

DANGER!
When working on slopes you must use
iron wheels with wideners as required
in the paragraph "Work on slopes spec-
ifications".
DANGER!
When working on slopes keep the han-
dlebars parallel in the direction of trav-
el and not in one of the two side adjust-
ment holes (±30°).
DANGER!
Never work on wet or slippery sloping
ground. Always be aware of the sur-
rounding environment and the working
ground.
DANGER!
Do not use the machine when it is raining.
DANGER!
Wear suitable footwear.
Always work sideways on to the slope and
follow the route shown in
The maximum working slope is limited by
the technical characteristics of the engine
to 20° in all directions
specified differently in the engine hand-
book.
If the machine is fitted with a tilting kit (op-
tion) the maximum lateral slope can be in-
creased to 45° with the use of iron wheels
with wideners as described in the chapter
"Working on slopes specifications

5.10. CLEANING DURING THE
WORKING DAY
If it becomes necessary to clean the ma-
chine during the day (weeds, dirt, mud
etc.) turn off the engine and remove the
ignition key and/or the hood of the spark
plug to prevent inadvertent starting.

Before entering the danger zone, wait
for all the machine's moving parts to
come to a standstill (at least ten sec-
