2. With the engine off disengage the au-
tomatic brake by bringing the lever [25]
into the position
then activate the dead man's lever. If the
lever [25] returns to the

6.4. ADJUSTMENT OF THE PTO LEVER
DANGER!
Adjust the cables with the engine off
making sure that you have taken the
key out of the ignition or removed the
spark plug hood to prevent unexpected
start ups.
Adjustment procedure:
1. With the engine off press the dead
man's lever [24] and activate the PTO
lever [22].
2. Release the PTO lever [22] into the
position engaged keeping the dead
man's lever [24] pressed;
3. Check that the spacer shown in
36 ]
appears in the cylinder holes un-
der the dashboard;
4. Pull the adjuster until the spacer bar
is right on the centreline of the hole;

5. Check before each start up to en-
sure the maximum life of the clutch
and avoid senseless overheating.
DANGER!
Excessive draw (only the visible spac-
er bar) can cause the clutch to mal-
function. When it is released the brake
might not engage making the tool stop-
ping time longer.
CARE!
Insufficient draw could on the other
hand produce overheating of the clutch
contributing to reducing the lifetime
and efficiency drastically.

6.5. ENGINE

Instructions for engine maintenance are
provided in the specific booklet that you
can find inside each package.
The general warnings follow:
• Before each start up check that
there is sufficient lubricating oil in the
engine. Top up if necessary
• Clean the air filter periodically
• Change the lubricating oil periodi-
cally according to what is specified in
its user manual (unless specified dif-
