6.2. WHEELS AND TYRES
When working on the wheels, make sure
that the machine is parked properly
("Parking" paragraph) and it is not able to
move, fall or tip over.
Check the tyre pressure each time before
starting up.
CARE!
Excessive pressure may lead the type
bursting. Use the indications given on
the tyre or in the "Machine Specifica-
tions" chapter.
DANGER!
Each time before the machine is start-
ed check that the wheel nuts are tight.
Tightening torque 100 Nm.
6.3. SAFETY DEVICES
All the multifunction P130 motor scythes
are fitted with two active accident preven-
tion systems. These devices cause the
parking brake to be engaged automatical-
ly on each of the wheels and the vertical
PTO to be disengaged when the dead-
man's lever is released [24]
Before using the machine, make sure that
these devices are working properly by
carrying out the following checks.
If one or more of the safety devices
fails to work properly do not use the
machine and take action following the
instructions in the "Faults" section.
6.3.1. AUTOMATIC PTO LEVER
RELEASE
With the engine off operate the dead
man's lever [24] and engage the PTO [22].
When the dead man's lever [24] is released
the lever [22] should return to neutra
If functioning properly, when the dead
man's lever is released [22] whether sud-
denly and gradually the lever that engages
the PTO [24] must be released automat-
ically.
6.3.2. AUTOMATIC PARKING BRAKE
1. With the engine off release the au-
tomatic brake by bringing the lever [25]
into the position
