The power assisted steering system
also works when the handlebars [18]
are adjusted to one of the side fixed po-
sitions.
5.1.5. PTO (POWER TAKE OFF)

ENGAGEMENT LEVER

CARE!
Before working the PTO engagement
lever [22] make sure the tool is fitted
properly ("Equipment Coupling" para-
graph).
DANGER!
Never operate the PTO [22] engage-
ment lever if no tool is fitted. DANGER!
INFORMATION:
In order to keep the PTO activation le-
ver [22] engaged it is necessary to keep
the dead man's lever [24] pressed. If
the lever [24] is not kept pressed down
it will be impossible to couple the PTO
activation lever [22] in the operating
position.
EN-20
INFORMATION:
Carefully follow the adjustment instruc-
tions in the "PTO lever adjustment" for
proper clutch operation.
Activation:
1. Activate the dead man's lever
[24]
[ fig. 11a ]

2. Then activate the release lever
[23]
[ fig. 11b e 11c ]
3. Move the lever [22] from the neutral
position to the engagement position
as shown in
[ fig. 11d ]
4. At this point release the release le-
ver [23].
To release the PTO lever, release the dead
man's lever [24] or work the release lever
[23].
5.1.6. EQUIPEMENT RELEASE LEVER
General warnings for the coupling and
release of the tool:
CARE!
Do not operate the tool release lever
[26]
[ fig. B ]
when the PTO is in oper-
ation. The likelihood of damaging the
transmission is great.
