DANGER!
Warning for filling the tank:
• Do not fill the tank in closed poorly
ventilated environments and/or slopes
that are greater than 20°;
• Before filling the tank, turn off the
machine, remove the ignition key
(where there is one) and/or the spark
plug hood.
• Wait for the machine to have cooled
down completely (at least 30 minutes);
• Do not expose the fuel to heat sourc-
es and/or possible triggering sources;
• Do not smoke;
• Do not use electronic devices;
• Fill the tank to the level indicated in
this chapter and no further;
• Use suitable filling systems such as
funnels etc;
• If the fuel leaks out, dry the machine
and them move it to the safety dis-
tance before starting it up.
DANGER!
If you are working on land that is NOT
flat, do not fill the tank beyond the level
indicated in this paragraph to prevent
the petrol leaking out.
5.6. FITTING AND REMOVING TOOLS
AND/OR ACCESSORY
For specific tools and/or accessory as-
sembly and dismantling instructions refer
to the specific booklet
For general instructions refer to the "Tool
connection release lever" paragraph.

5.7. STARTING THE ENGINE

1. Check the engine oil level (see the
engine user booklet);
2. Open the fuel tap (if there is one);
3. If the engine is cold (first start up)
position the accelerator lever [20] in
the open air or choke position
[ fig. 09c ]

4. If the engine is hot, position the ac-
celerator lever [20] midway between
the minimum
[ fig. 09a ]
levels
[ fig. 09b ]
;
5. In the version with manual starting,
position yourself outside the danger
area ("Work area and danger zone"
paragraph) pull the starting cord [15]
decisively. If necessary, repeat the op-
eration until it starts;
6. For versions with electric starting
insert the key [21] and turn it to the
"START" position.
