VOICE TRACKING
-
THRESHOLD: tracking threshold. When the signal of an enabled channel exceeds this threshold, the
camera tracking settings for that channel are executed.
-
DEFAULT CHANNEL: default channel. When all channels are below the threshold, the camera tracking
settings of this channel are executed.
-
REACTION TIME (s): reaction time in seconds. The time a signal must be above the threshold before
running its camera tracking setting.
-
HOLD TIME (s): sets, in seconds, the shortest duration of the activation before another tracking setting is
executed. When a person starts speaking, the camera can be repositioned to view the person after the
REACTION TIME has elapsed and remain at this setting for at least the time defined in HOLD TIME.
-
SEND INTERVAL (ms): interval, in milliseconds, between successive consecutive camera commands.
-
SEND REPEAT: number of consecutive times a camera command is sent.
-
ENABLE: enables/disables automatic camera control for voice tracking.
-
SAVE: saves all parameters entered in the VOICE TRACKING and CHANNELS sections.
CHANNELS
Each input channel in the DSP can be selected and optionally enabled to participate in the automatic control
of the camera for voice tracking, so in this section we can set a different configuration for each channel.
-
CHANNEL No: current input channel to be configured in this section.
-
PRIORITY: priority of the selected input channel. If several channels exceed the threshold, the settings
of the channel with the highest priority shall be executed. 1 for highest priority and 10 for lowest priority.
-
CHANNELS: parameters that apply to the selected channel. Each channel has its own set of parameters:
-
SERIAL TYPE: communication with the camera: RS-232 or RS-485.
-
CAMERA ADDRESS: address of the camera to be associated with the selected input channel.
-
PROTOCOL: communication protocol of the camera associated to the selected input channel.
-
PRESET: preset number to be activated in the camera. These are camera presets and are configured
using the procedure defined by the camera manufacturer.
-
ENABLE: enables/disables the selected channel to participate in automatic camera control for voice
tracking by sending camera presets. This can be used in conjunction with the CUSTOM COMMAND
parameters.
-
CUSTOM COMMAND: parameters that apply to the channel previously selected under CHANNEL No.
Each channel has its own set of parameters:
-
SERIAL TYPE: communication with an external device: RS-232 or RS-485.
-
Commands: text box to enter the command string to be sent to the external device.
-
SEND: press to send the entered command immediately.
-
ENABLE: enables/disables the selected channel to participate in automatic camera control for voice
command tracking. This can be used in conjunction with the CHANNELS parameters.
-
SAVE: saves all parameters entered in the VOICE TRACKING and CHANNELS sections.
The next 2 sections are for setting up manual live camera control. This can be useful for creating camera
presets to be used in camera control for automatic voice tracking without having to use a third party
application. The parameters to be configured for manual live camera control:
