USE OF INSTRUMENTS FOR ENDODONTIC THERAPY
On the dental units with the "ENDO" function it is possible to use the specific inserts for endodontic therapies.
Choose the ENDO function by way of the panel command.
Tighten down the E1 (or the E2) file-holder chuck on the handpiece completely with its specific key.
Always use a coolant fluid to avoid overheating of the mandrel.
Insert the file into the chuck, taking care that the coloured notch remains visible with exception of the File ISO 25
(colour code red), which must be inserted until it stops.
Adjust the power to the minimum and increase, if needed, gradually, in any case does not exceed the limits indicated in
the table below.
SETTING OPERATIONAL PARAMETERS
Power adjustment, operational adjustment, activation and adjustment of the cooling liquid or the lighting (if indicated)
are to be had through the dental unit commands. Refer to the dental unit instruction manual for the setting of the
operational parameters.
ILLUMINATION DEVICE
In the equipped models, the surgical field lighting operates in compliance with what has been indicated in the dental unit
on which it has been installed. Refer to the dental unit user manual for the operation of the lighting unit.
To replace a lighting element, unscrew the front part of the instrument and then extract the conical lighting element.
When installing the new lamp element pay attention to maintaining the proper polarity. With the polarity reversed, the
light will not turn on.
MAINTENANCE
In the event that the handpiece is supplied with liquids that potentially leave incrustations, it is recommended that the
circuit be rinsed well with water at the end of each day's use.
Weekly lubrication of the O-rings on the coolant fluid coupling is required, using the specific S1 grease, distributed by
Castellini S.p.A. Wearing disposable gloves, apply a film of S1 grease on the fingertips and lubricate with the fingers.
To avoid its being blocked, the insert must be detached after each surgical treatment and before autoclave sterilisation.
The manufacturer requires the annual check or overhaul of the device on the part of authorised service assistance.
