Counter-angles
Lightly press your thumb at the centre of the button on the small head to remove the
milling cutter and insert a new one.
Milling cutter insertion
Milling cutter Ø 2.35: holding the button down, insert the milling cutter
completely and then slowly rotate in, pressing it down, until connection click is
heard; then release the button.
Milling cutter Ø 1.6: Insert the milling cutter completely holding down the
button and then release it. Make sure that the milling cutter stem is clean.
Pull on the milling cutter with your hand to make sure it has been properly inserted.
Do not use milling cutters that are longer than those recommended.
For proper locking, completely insert the milling cutter until it cannot go any further.
In order to avoid damage to the handpiece, do not activate the milling cutter release
mechanism until the milling cutter has come to a complete stop.
LUBRICATION
Lubricate the handpiece after each use and before and after each autoclave cycle using
the "DAILY OIL" aerosol spray.
Insert the applicator in the back part of the handpiece and release the spray until the
lubricant comes out of the head. Then, start-up the handpiece at slow speed with a
milling cutter inserted; gradually increase the speed and dry the excess lubricant.
Read all warnings and follow all instructions printed on the spray bottle label.
CLEANING, DISINFECTION AND STERILISATION
Warning: The instrument is not sterile when supplied.
Wear protective gloves. Remove milling cutter.
For external cleaning and/or disinfection of the handpiece use gauze or cotton saturated
with surgical alcohol. Do not use ultrasound cleaners.
The handpiece must not be immersed in disinfectant or sterilising liquids.
Clean the fibre optic terminals with alcohol-saturated gauze.
Do not use pointed or sharp instruments.
Clean the spray exit holes regularly with specially-provided probes.
In order to maintain the hygiene safety level, the handpiece must be sterilised in a
steam autoclave at max. 135°C, 220 kPa (2.2 bar) for 5 minutes (250 cycles tested – EN
ISO 7785-2) after use on each patient. Do not sterilise the handpiece in dry heat
sterilisers. It is important to lubricate the handpiece and cleanse the fibre optic terminals
after each autoclave cycle. Never leave the handpiece in the autoclave. It must be
removed immediately after each cycle.
