Attention: Before using with separate water supply, if one is not certain of the hygienic condition of the water circuits in the
dental unit (for example, due to a previous use of mains water, a long period of inactivity, etc.) perform a cycle with the Autosteril
system.
The command for the selection of the water supply source is a lever on the side of the operator table (1 - fig. 18):
Insertion/replacement of the liquid in the reservoir
 Position the water supply selection lever in position
 Remove the sterilisable reservoir from its screw-in coupling by rotating it in an anticlockwise direction
(fig. 18).
It is also possible unscrew the reservoir without having to depressurise the container using the command
lever so as to avoid the intake of mains water in the system.
 Unscrew the take-up needle by rotating it in an anticlockwise direction.
 Sterilise the tank and the suction needle in an autoclave at max. 135°C.
 With sterile gloves on, pour the liquid chosen into the sterilised reservoir.
 Avoiding any contact whatsoever with any of the surrounding surfaces screw down the sterilised take-up
needle, keeping it inside of its sterile wrapper (2).
 Reconnect the reservoir sliding it up around the take-up needle and screw it all the way into its seat.
 Position the water supply selection lever in position
Substitute the bottle at least once a year.
Disposable package of dedicated liquid
 Remove the disposable package from its seat by rotating it in an anticlockwise direction.
 Unscrew the suction needle and sterilise it in an autoclave at max 135°C.
 With sterile gloves on, avoiding any contact whatsoever with any of the surrounding
surfaces screw down the sterilised take-up needle, keeping it inside of its sterile wrapper
 Open the package of dedicated liquid, removing its cover cap. The neck of the bottle has
been sealed with a thin rubber membrane.
 Insert the new bottle into its seat, perforating the rubber membrane sealing the container
with the take-up needle. Do not remove the membrane.
 Position the water supply selection lever in position
WARNINGS
Attention: Before using the spray on a patient, always verify the type of liquid in the reservoir.
When using the Electrical Micromotor always pay maximum attention to the acoustic warnings relative to the
separate supply reservoir reserve. Never operate it with the supply reservoir empty so as to avoid the output of air
from the external hand unit reducer spray tube onto the surgical field.
To avoid deposits after using normal saline or isotonic saline solution, immediately rinse the tubes activating the spray using mains
water; it would be preferable to perform a Time-Flushing cycle using a disposable package of purified water E.P.
Do not mix different products.
Before putting a new product into the same reservoir
- Remove and rinse the reservoir to eliminate residues of the previous product.
- Put water in the reservoir (preferably using disposable packages of purified water E.P.)
- Perform a Time-Flushing cycle in separate supply to rinse out the water circuit.
- Extract, empty the reservoir and put in the liquid chosen, prepared as instructed.
