Two switch positions are available on the
position.
Depending on the design of the DIP switch, the "OPEN" or "ON" position is labeled. The adjacent figure
shows a DIP switch with a labeled "OPEN" switch position.
Pay attention to the labeling of the DR DIP switch.
Proceed as follows for changing the baud rate:
1. Disconnect the bus coupler from the power supply UL or turn off the 24 V voltage
of the DeviceNet bus.
2. Set the baud rate on the switches DR.1 and DR.2 (see Fig. 6) as described in Table 20.
Table 20:

Steps 1 and 2 can also be performed in the reverse order.
3. Reconnect the power supply UL or the 24 V voltage of the DeviceNet bus. The system will
be initialized using the baud rate defined on the bus coupler.
When the switch settings and the baud rate in the PLC configuration program do not match,
the MNS LED flashes red.

Terminating the bus

If the device is the last participant in the DeviceNet line, you must connect a data termination plug,
CN2 series, male, M12x1, 5-pin, A-coded. The material number is 8941054264.
The data termination plug creates a defined line termination and prevents line reflections. It also
ensures compliance with the protection class IP65.
The assembly instructions for the complete unit describe how to fit the data termination plug.
