5.1.2 Terminating the DDL line

The DDL line has to be terminated after the physically last
participant.
The DDL line can be closed as follows:
Inserting DDL terminator plug into BUS OUT X72
W
(switch S2.8 at OFF position)
or
Setting switch S2.8 to ON and sealing the BUS OUT
W
X72 connection with an M12x1 protective cap, to
guarantee IP protection.
Under no circumstances may the S2.8 switch be set
to ON and the DDL terminator plug be inserted at the
same time. Switch S2.8 must be set to OFF if this
module is not the last participant.

5.1.3 Setting the data length for output data

The data length depends on the number of outputs (valve
coils) that shall be controlled. 8 outputs (valve coils) are
controlled per byte. A maximum of 4 bytes of data length
means there is a maximum of 32 outputs (valve coils). The
data length is set on switches S2.3 and S2.4.
