Changing the address

An address change will not be effective during operation!
The bus coupler will continue to work with the previous address.
Never change the address during operation.
Disconnect the bus coupler from the power supply UL before changing the positions of
switches NA1 and NA2.
9.4

Changing the baud rate and activating the bus coupler diagnosis

Changes made on the DR switch during operation will not be taken over!
The bus coupler will continue to work with the previous settings.
Never change the DR switch settings during operation.
Disconnect the bus coupler from the power supply UL before changing the positions
of switch DR.

The DIP switch DR for the baud rate is located below the window (3).

Switch DR:
– The baud rate is set on the first two switches (DR.1 und DR.2).
– The bus coupler diagnosis can be activated on switch DR.3. The adjacent figure shows
the activated diagnosis (DR.3 ON).
– DR.4 is not assigned.
