6.8 Verifying the Positioning

At shipment of the sewing machines the needle positions were set correctly. The needle
positions should, however, still be checked before commissioning.
Prerequisite!
The sewing foot should be arrested in the high position. (see Operating Instructions
Chapter 6.13)
The machine must position in position 1 (needle down) during an intermediate stop.
(see Chapter 7.1 LED 7 or Chapter 8.1.6)
Position 1
Turn the main switch on
Briefly step forward on the pedal and bring into base position again. The needle
positions in position 1 = position "F" of the handwheel.
Check the position of the needle.
Position 2
First step the pedal completely forward and then all the way back.
The needle positions in position 2 = position "C" of the handwheel.
Check the position of the needle.
If one or both needle positions are incorrect, then a correction of the needle positions is
to be made. See Chapter 7.1.5 or 7.2.7 or 8.1.3 or 8.2.7

6.9 Machine-specific Parameters

6.9.1 General

The functions of the controls of the sewing drive are determined by the program and the
setting of parameters.
At shipment of the sewing machines all parameter values for each class and subclass
are set correctly. For this, some preset values of the controls (e.g. the maximum
speed) are also altered. With a replacement of the controls the machine-specific
parameters must be set correctly again. See Chapter 7.1.6 or 7.2.8 or 7.3.8 or 8.2.7.

6.9.2 Autoselect

The controls "recognize", by measuring the Autoselect resistor, which is found in the
machine, which machine series is attached to them. Control functions and the preset
values of the parameters are selected via Autoselect.
Attention! If the controls detect no or an invalid Autoselect resistor, then the drive runs
with only the so-called emergency run functions in order to protect the machine against
damage.

6.10 Master Reset

All parameter values are reset to the preset values by a master reset (see Chapter
7.1.7 or 7.2.9 or 7.3.10 or 8.2.10). After a master reset the machine-specific parameters
must be correctly set again. See Chapter 7.1.6 or 7.2.8 or 7.3.9 or 8.2.9.
