Dependent on subclass and equipment the following keys and displays are possible on
series machines:
LED/ Function
Key
Calling-up or suppressing beginning or end bartacks.
If beginning or end bartacks are generally turned on,
I-0
0-I the next bartack is turned off by operation of the key.
If beginning or end bartacks are generally turned off,
the next bartack is turned on by operation of the key.
Positioning the needle in high position or low position.
The function of the key can be established with the parameter
F-140 (DA 220C) or 446 (DA40MS).
1 = Needle high, 2 = Needle high / low, 3 = Single stitch, 4 = Single stitch with
shortened stitch length (if stitch length alteration is present)
The factory setting is 1 = Needle high.
Sewing manually in reverse.
The machine sews in reverse as long as the key is pressed.
Supplimentary thread tension
The supplimentary thread tension is switched on and off through operationof
the key.
Manually lifting or lowering the roller top feed
Longer stitch length on/off
Turning the edge trimmer on and off
Yellow LED display: When the LED is lit the selected function is activated.
Green Display: " Sewing Drive is Turned On "
Caution Risk of Injury !
With the sewing drive turned on (green LED lit)
the following work should not be conducted:
- Threading needle and underthreads.
- Changing the bobbin, changing the needle.
- Setting the thread regulator.
- All tasks in the motion area of elements.
