b. The EMG electrodes (one red cable and one black cable) for the big toe muscle response should be placed
on the sole of the foot (Figure 5).
c. The EMG ground patch (green cable) should be affixed between the site of lead implantation and the
nearest EMG electrode.
d. Insert the black plug of the EMG ground cable into the CP ground ( ) between
(Figure 6).
e. Insert the plugs of the EMG cables into the CP, matching the cable color to the color of the label on the CP
(Figure 6).
Note: For instructions on the use of EMG to record muscle responses to stimulation, refer to the Clinician
Programmer Manual.
6. Remove the needle test stimulation cable from the packaging.
7. Ensure that the stimulation amplitude on the CP is set to zero.
Insert the black plug of the needle test stimulation cable into the CP outside the sterile field (Figure 6). Keep

the clip end of the cable in the sterile field.
9. Remove the tined lead test stimulation cable from the packaging.
10. Insert the grey plug of the tined lead test stimulation cable into the CP outside the sterile field (Figure 6).
Keep the clip end of the cable in the sterile field.
