4.4.8 Contact Wear Indicator
EntelliGuard devices require periodic
maintenance. During these activities it is
recommended that the arcing contact tips are
checked for wear.
The contact wear indicator is a simple device
that allows the user to establish if the arcing
contacts need replacement. It can be used on
devices of the fixed and pattern (if the arc chutes
can be removed) and on devices of the drawout
pattern.
Contact Wear Indicator use:
1. Remove the arc chamber assembly by
loosening the two M6 hardware, Fig. A.
2. Drop the Wear indicator in the housing cavity
till it properly seats on the housing surface. As
shown in Fig. B.
3. Check each finger top end with respect to the
green color area marked on the wear indicator
as Shown in Fig. C.
4. Repeat this procedure for each pole and for
each finger within the pole
5. If the finger top end crosses the edge of the
green area marked on the wear indicator, the
arcing contacts have eroded and needs
replacement.
6. After use, remove the Wear Indicator and

the mounting hardware with a torque of 8 to 10

4.4.8 Témoin d'usure des contacts
Les appareils EntelliGuard nécessitent une
maintenance périodique. À cette occasion, il est
recommandé d'examiner l'usure des extrémités
des pare étincelles.
Le témoin d'usure des contacts est un appareil
simple qui indique à l'utilisateur si les pare
étincelles ont besoin d'être changés. Il peut être
utilisé sur les appareils fixes (si les pare étincelles
peuvent être démontés) et débrochables.
Utilisation du témoin d'usure des contacts:
1. Démonter la chambre de coupure en
desserrant les deux vis M6, Fig. A.
2. Faire descendre le témoin d'usure dans la
cavité du support jusqu'à ce qu'il repose
correctement sur la surface du support, comme
indiqué sur la Fig. B.
3. Sur l'extrémité supérieure de chaque
languette, vérifier le niveau de vert sur le témoin
d'usure, comme indiqué sur la Fig. C.
4. Répéter cette procédure pour chaque pôle et
pour chaque languette du pôle.
5. Si l'extrémité supérieure de la languette
dépasse le niveau de vert marqué sur le témoin
d'usure, les pare étincelles sont usés et doivent
être changés.
6. Après utilisation, retirer le témoins d'usure et

changer les pare étincelles en montant et en
serrant les vis avec un couple de serrage..
de 8 à 10 Nm.
Conseil: Si un ou plusieurs pare étincelles
doivent être changés, contacter immédiatement
l'une de nos équipes de service après-vente
comme indiqué dans la section 6 de ce manuel
de l'utilisateur.
4.4.8 Contactslijtageindicator
EntelliGuard toestellen moeten regelmatig
onderhouden worden. Bij deze activiteiten is het
aanbevolen om de vonkcontacten te controleren
op slijtage.
De contactslijtageindicator is een eenvoudig
toestel waarmee de gebruiker kan controleren of
vonkcontacten aan vervanging toe zijn. Deze
kan gebruikt worden bij beide toesteltypes
(indien de bluskamers verwijderd kunnen
worden) en bij toestellen met uitrijdbare
uitvoering.
Gebruik Contactslijtageindicator:
1. Verwijder de vonkkamerunit door de twee M6
schroeven te openen, Afb. A.
2. Laat de slijtageindicator in de opening van de
behuizing vallen tot deze op het
behuizingsoppervlak zit. Zoals in Afb. B.
3. Controleer elk uiteinde op een groene kleur
aan de slijtageindicator zoals in Afb. C.
4. Herhaal deze procedure voor elke pool en
voor elke vinger binnen de pool.
5. Indien het vingereinde de rand van het groene
gebied overschrijdt, moeten de vonkcontacten
vervangen worden.
6. Na gebruik, verwijder de slijtageindicator en
