4.2.1 Ready to Close Contact
(RTC):
A breaker with electrical charging mechanism
can be optionally equipped with a ready to close
indication contact that in a majority of cases
replaces the standard Spring Charged Contact
(SAC) . The Ready to Close Contact only moves
position when the following conditions are met:
-> The circuit breaker is open
-> The closing springs are charged
-> The circuit breaker in not locked/interlocked in
open position.
-> There is no standing closing order
-> There is no standing opening order
The contact has a 1NO configuration and is
available in two variants 'Signal Rated' and
'Power Rated'. Both variants can be wired
through the breakers secondary disconnects.
Here the device always replace the 'Spring
Charged Contact'.
If the 'Signal Rated' type is used and wired
through the Trip Unit harness the 'Spring
Charged Contact' can be left in place.
The Ready to Close contact is NOT available as
Field Mountable accessory. The instructions
included here are meant as indications for
service purposes:
Installation of Ready to close Contact
1. The breaker should be safely isolated and fully
withdrawn to disconnected position.
2. Remove the fascia as explained
3. Remove the trip unit (section 2)
4. Slide the RTC switch assembly over the
mechanism side sheet and locate in the two
locating holes as shown in Fig. A.
5. Assemble the screw with washer as shown in
Fig. B. Tighten the screw to torque 2 Nm
6. When the 'Signal Rated' type is used and wired
through the Trip Unit plug the connector from
the RTC assembly to the connector marked RTC
on the Trip Unit harness. See Fig. C
7. When the Signal or Power rated type is used
and wired through the secondary disconnects,
disconnect the SAC switch as indicated in Fig. D

4.2.1 Contact « prêt à fermer »
(PAF):
Un disjoncteur doté d'un mécanisme
d'armement électrique peut optionnellement
être équipé d'un contact d'indication « prêt à
fermer » qui, dans la majorité des cas, remplace
le contact « ressorts armés ». Le contact « prêt
à fermer » ne change de position que lorsque les
conditions suivantes sont satisfaites:
-> Le disjoncteur est ouvert
-> Les ressorts de fermeture sont armés
-> Le disjoncteur n'est pas
verrouillé/interverrouillé en position ouverte
-> Il n'y a pas de commande permanente de
fermeture
-> Il n'y a pas de commande permanente
d'ouverture
La configuration du contact est de 1 NO. Il est
disponible en deux versions, contact de signal et
contact de puissance. Les deux versions peuvent
être connectées via les sectionneurs
secondaires du disjoncteur. Ici, ce contact
remplace toujours le contact « ressorts armés ».
Si la version contact de signal est utilisée et
qu'elle est connectée via le faisceau de l'unité de
protection, le contact « ressorts armés » peut
être conservé.
Le contact « prêt à fermer n'est PAS disponible
en version montable sur site. Les instructions
données ici sont applicables aux opérations de
maintenance:
Installation du contact « prêt à fermer »
1. Le disjoncteur doit être isolé et complètement
extrait, en position Débroché.
2. Démonter la face avant comme indiqué.
3. Démonter l'unité de protection (section 2).
4. Placer le contact PAF sur la plaque latérale du
mécanisme et repérer les deux trous de repère
comme indiqué sur la Fig. A.
5. Serrer la vis et la rondelle avec un couple de
serrage de 2 Nm, comme indiqué sur la Fig. B.
6. Pour la version contact de signal, et lorsqu'elle
est connectée via l'unité de protection, brancher
le connecteur du contact PAF au connecteur RTC
du faisceau de l'unité de protection (voir Fig. C).
7. Pour les versions contact de signal ou de
puissance connectées via les sectionneurs
secondaires, déconnecter le contact « ressorts
armés » comme indiqué sur la Fig. D et le

4.2.1 Inschakelgereed contact
(RTC):
Een vermogenschakelaar met een elektrisch
laadmechanisme kan uitgerust worden met een
'ready to close' indicatiecontact dat in de
meerderheid van de gevallen het standaard
"Veer gespannen" contact (SAC) vervangt. Het
Ready to Close contact reageert enkel in
volgende omstandigheden:
-> De vermogenschakelaar is open
-> De veer is gespannen
-> De vermogenschakelaar is niet
vergrendeld/op slot in een open positie.
-> Er is geen bestaand inschakelverzoek
-> Er is geen bestaand openingsverzoek
Het contact heeft een 1NO configuratie en is
beschikbaar in twee varianten 'Signaal gestuurd'
en 'Vermogen Nominaal'. Beide varianten
kunnen bekrachtigd worden via de secundaire
uitschakelingen van de vermogenschakelaar.
Hier vervangt het toestel het ' Veer gespannen '
contact altijd.
Indien het ' Signaal gestuurd ' type gebruikt
wordt en aangesloten wordt via de behuizing
van de beveiligingsunit kan het SAC contact
blijven bestaan.
Het Ready to Close contact is NIET beschikbaar
als ter plaatse monteerbaar accessoire. De
omschreven instructies zijn enkel bedoeld als
richtlijnen voor onderhoud:
Installatie van het inschakelgereed contact
1. De vermogenschakelaar moet veilig
geïsoleerd zijn en volledig verwijderd zijn.
2. Verwijder de voorzijdecover.
3. Verwijder de beveiligingsunit (hoofdstuk 2).
4. Plaats de RTC-schakelaar op de zijkant van het
mechanisme en plaats hem in de twee gaten
zoals in Afb. A.
5. Bevestig de schroef en dichtingsring zoals in
Afb. B. Draai de schroef aan tot 2 Nm.
6. Wanneer het 'Signaal Nominaal' type gebruikt
wordt via de Beveiligingsunit, verbind dan de
connectot van de RTC montage met de
connector met RTC-markering op de behuizing
van de Beveiligingsunit. Raadpleeg Afb. C
7. Wanneer het Signaal of Vermogen Nominaal
type gebruikt wordt en aangesloten wordt via de
Removal of Front cover
1. Remove pad locks, installed if any.
2. Unscrew the 6 screws (6Nm, 4.42ft-lbs) using a Pozidrive screw driver as shown in
Fig. A&B. 3. Rotate the charging handle down and slide the front cover
over the handle to remove out as shown in Fig. C.
Démontage de la face avant
1. Retirer les cadenas, si installés.
2. Dévisser les 6 vis à l'aide d'un tournevis Pozidrive comme indiqué sur les Fig.A et B.
3. Abaisser le levier d'armement et faire glisser la face avant par-dessus le levier pour
le retirer, comme indiqué dans la Fig. C.
Verwijderen van de voorzijdecover
1. Verwijder hangsloten indien aanwezig.
2. Draai de 6 schroeven (6Nm, 4.42ft-lbs)
zoals in Afb. A&B
3. Draai de voorspanhendel omlaag en schuif de voorzijdecover over de hendel om
deze te verwijderen , zie Afb. C.
