The position controller is a part of the positioning unit. The
positioning unit is available in three sizes as a standard version
and in a version with rapid speed.
5.3.1
Fig. 4:
In the standard positioning unit version, the cylinder is controlled
by a valve block consisting of four 2/2 directional valves. As the
nominal width is dependent on the size, the piston rod can only be
moved slowly in the standard positioning unit version.
5.3.2
Size I As with the standard version, the cylinder in this version is also
controlled by a valve block. However, the nominal width is greater
than that in the standard version. The appropriate position
controller in a housing is available as a special device for this size
(order no.: 546 019 002 0).
In the 19" assembly version, the DIP switch (18) must be
adjusted on the board (see "Switching between creep speed
and rapid speed" on page 69).
