Persons who assemble, operate, disassemble, or maintain
AVENTICS products must not consume any alcohol, drugs,
or pharmaceuticals that may affect their ability to respond.
W
Only use the device within the performance range provided in
the technical data.
W
Do not use the position controller in damp or dusty
environments.
W
Always use the device outside of explosive areas.
W
Only use a power pack with safe isolation for the voltage
supply.
W
You may only commission the product if you have
determined that the end product (such as a machine or
system) in which the AVENTICS products are installed
meets the country-specific provisions, safety regulations,
and standards for the specific application.
W
Let the device acclimate itself for several hours before
installation, otherwise water may condense in the housing.
W
Make sure the relevant system component is not under
pressure or voltage before assembling or when connecting
and disconnecting plugs. Protect the system against being
switched on. Hang signs on the main switches that warn
workers against switching the system on.
W
Lay the cables so that no one can trip over them.
W
Incorrect wiring may cause fires. Check that the wiring is
correct before commissioning.
W
Uncontrolled piston rod positions may occur for a short
period after the operating voltage has been switched on.
Stay away from the cylinder piston rod.
W
In the position controller, always set the end position of the
piston so that unnecessary switching is avoided. This also
helps to avoid valve wear.
