Replacing Major Components
Water Pump Assembly
The following procedure describes how to replace the water pu mp. Should the
pump harness/diode-bridge need replacing, proceed to the next page.
Caution:

1. Drain the water fro m the coffee maker (see
2. Remove the water tube connected to the front of the water pump (co ming
fro m the flow meter).
3. Remove the plastic tube going fro m the pump to the water heater fitting.
4. Disconnect the water pump harness from the options circuit board
(connector is labeled as "AC OUT 2 – J25" on the options board).
5. Disconnect the water pump harness ground from the heat sink on the
control circuit board.
6. Remove the pump wiring harness/diode-bridge from the coffee maker.
Some of the clips securing the harnessing throughout the coffee maker
need to be opened to free the pump harness.
7. Remove the two screws securing the water pump supports to the base.
8. Remove the old water pump.
9. Place the new water pu mp into position and screw the supports into the
base.
10. Route the new harness fro m the options circuit board to the pump making
sure to close the wiring clips to secure it in place.
11. Connect the water pump harness to the options circuit board (connector is
labeled as "AC OUT 2 – J25" on the options board).
12. Connect the water pump harness ground to the heat sink on the control
circuit board.
13. Reconnect the plastic tube fro m the pump to the water heater fitting.
14. Reconnect the water tube from the flow meter.

cycle must be performed to purge air out of the system.
