Control Board & Options Board
Caution:
replacing this component. If it is not drained, 420ml (14 oz.) of potentially
hot water will be dispensed at the spout after a control board is replaced.
1. Disconnect all of the wiring harness connectors at the rear of the circuit boards
and disconnect the two ground wires connected to the terminals on the heat
sink.
2. Slide the board assembly about one inch towards the rear of the unit, and lift it
out of the base.
3. Separate the control board from the options board.
a)
Grasp each board from the bottom (the
side without the heat sink).
b) Carefully, pull the two boards apart,
holding them as straight as possible.
4. Connect a control board to an options board.
a)
Align the 48 pins on the options board
with the 48 pin connector on the control
board.
b) Gently press the two boards together
until the clips on the control board lock
into the cutouts on the options board.
5. Insert the board assembly (with heat sink up) into the base and slide it about
one inch towards the front of the unit, until it locks in place.
6. Connect the ground wires to the terminals on the heat sink.
7. Connect all the remaining wiring harnesses to the circuit boards.
Replacing Major Components
If possible, drain the water from the coffee maker before
