General Information
Most of the electrical co mponents in the Espresso Café are low voltage
(and not 120 volts AC). Never connect these electrical co mponents to 120
volts AC.
When the Espresso Café is powered up, a small quantity of water will be
dispensed from the spout. This is a normal as air is being purged from the
water system.
The water system is pressurized and it is equipped with a pressure release
fitting. Should the pressure exceed 185 psi, the fitting will auto matically
open to release the excess pressure.
Drain the water
component in the water line or a control board.
It is not necessary to install a backflow prevention system as one is already
incorporated in the inlet valve.
When installing the fittings inside the coffee maker, they should be hand-
tightened, and then tightened an additional ¼ turn with a wrench. If a
fitting is leaking, t ighten the fitting in ¼ turn intervals until the leaking
stops.
The milk canister system uses sensors to detect when the product level runs
low. These same sensors are used to prime the system once a new milk
canister is installed.
When the milk canister is initially installed, or when replaced, the milk
o
dispenser motor may automatically activate to prime the milk through the
system. Once primed, the dispenser motor will stop automatically.
When the milk canister empty, any selections requiring milk are disabled and
o
the green START button will not illuminate.
If the cover of the coffee maker is open in a very brightly lit roo m (for
testing purposes), the optical sensors may give inaccurate readings. If this
is the case, test the coffee maker with the cover closed.
To simp lify moving the coffee maker, only the front levelers are equipped
with non-skid pads. Simp ly lift the front of the coffee maker, and slide it
where required. When the front is placed back onto the countertop, the
non-skid levelers prevent the unit fro m sliding.
All the wiring in the coffee maker is labeled point-to-point to identify the
component(s) on which they are connected.
When the water heater is first used, a slight odor may be detected. This is
normal and the odor will quickly dissipate.
