Using the Cleaning Tab
The cleaning tab performs t wo functions – the in-place cleaning/sanitizing cycle
(green side of tab) and the emptying of milk fro m the Espresso Café without the
use of a programmer (red side of tab).
In-Place Cleaning (green)
In-Place Cleaning (Sanitizing Cycle)
This cycle must be performed as required by local health authorities and health
regulations.
CAUTION:
in the set-up) and should be connected to a drain system to perform this cycle.
If a drain is not available, place the waste bin under the dispensing area.
1. Switch machine power off and shut off water by lifting the valve handle
on top of the Everpure QL3 filter head.
2. Remove the Everpure water filter fro m the filter head (the filter head
must be installed less than 3 feet away fro m the inlet of the machine).
a)
Lift cartridge slightly and turn completely counter-clockwise.
b)
Lower the cartridge to disengage it from the head bracket.
3. Fill the Everpure JT Sanitizing Cartri dge with SC J ohnson J-512
sanitizing solution (available through your local d istributor).
a) Unplug the cartridge top on the Sanitizing Cartridge.
b) Pour sanitizing solution into the Sanitizing Cartridge (4 ml of
sanitizer per 1 liter of water) and re-install the cartridge top onto
the Sanitizing Cartridge.
c)
Re-install the cartridge top onto the Sanitizing Cartridge.
4. Install the Sanitizing Cartridge into the filter head.
a) Insert Sanitizing Cartridge all the way into the head bracket.
b) Turn cartridge completely clockwise until it stops.
5. Turn on the valve at the water filter.
6. Switch machine power ON.
7. Insert the cleaning tab (must be inserted all the way down) into the pod
slot with the green side of the tab facing you.
