Empty the Waste Bin
The waste bin inside the coffee maker holds approximately 30 used coffee
pods. The system is equipped with an optical sensor that detects when the waste
bin is fu ll, and advises you by lighting the yellow "Empty Waste Bin" LED on
the system status indicator panel.
To empty the waste bin:
1. Grasp the handle on the front of the waste bin.
2. Pull the waste bin out towards you.
3. Discard the contents.
4. If required, use a sponge or absorbent paper towel to clean any liquids
fro m the area beneath where the waste bin is installed (base).
5. Slide the waste bin back into position.
Cleaning a Milk Overflow
This equipment is equipped with a Milk Overflo w detection system. Should the
whipper bowl overflo w, milk will pour onto two overflow contacts and a "Milk
Overfl ow" erro r will be displayed on the Programmer.
To clean the milk overflow:
1. With the top cover open, clean the milk fro m the whipper bowl, wh ipper
chamber and milk tubing.
2. Locate the milk overflow
sensors (on the deflector
beneath the whipper bowl)
and clean the overflow by
pouring water directly onto
the deflector and sensors.
If the milk has hardened,
use a small brush to loosen
it. The milk and water will
flow down the deflector
and into the waste bin.
3. Once cleaned, close the top
cover.
NOT E: If a Milk Overflow is detected, the red Service LED w ill light w hen a
Cappuccino or Caffè Latte selected. The "Rinse Cycle", "In-Place Cleaning"
and "Empty Cycle" are also di s abled until the milk overflow i s cleaned.
