Should a software update be required for the Espresso Café, the update will be
shipped in the form of an EPROM. W ith the exception of the Espresso Café
downloader, no special tools or change of parts is required to perform the software
upgrade.
To update the software in the Espresso Café:
1. Install the
programmer.
a) Remove the screws at the top and bottom of the housing (figure 1),
then lift and remove the cover.
b) With a flat screwdriver, gently pry the top and bottom of an existing
EPROM
c)
With the notch on the
of pins with the two rows on the socket, and slowly insert the
(figure 2). Make certain not to bend any of the pins between the
EPROM
d) Inspect the pins once more to make certain they are all inserted
properly into the socket.
e)
Re-install the cover onto the programmer.
