To connect the handheld programmer to the coffee maker:
1. Switch OFF the power to the coffee maker.
2. Remove the waste bin.
3. Locate the programmer interface port on the rear wall of the waste bin
area (illustrated above).
4. Connect the phone type cable fro m the programmer to the interface
port.
5. Switch ON the power to the coffee maker.
Power-Up Diagnostic Routine
After the programmer is connected and the coffee maker is powered-up, the
software version is displ ayed and a diagnostic routine is then initiated to
search for any errors with the equipment. Should a problem be detected, the
programmer can be used to identify the problem area.
