TILT ROD
Disconnect the PTT motor leads from
the battery when the free piston 1 is
at the top of the cylinder.
NOTE:
The sound of the PTT motor will change
when the free piston is at the top of the
cylinder a.
Remove the reservoir plug and check
that PTT fluid is up to the brim of the
PTT reservoir filling hole. If not, add
more PTT fluid until it is to the proper
level.
Install the reservoir plug.
Connect the PTT motor leads to the
battery.
Tilt rod
Down
Reverse the PTT motor leads between
the battery terminals when the tilt rod
fully extends and when it fully com-
presses. Repeat this procedure so the
tilt rod goes up and down several
times.
Check the fluid level again, add fluid if
necessary, and then extend and com-
press the tilt rod several times as
explained above.
Repeat these steps until the fluid
remains at the proper level.
