8.6. Auxiliary tray holder (for CART version
The tray holder can hold two standard size trays.
Turn the knob (b) to adjust vertical movement according to the weight. Turn
clockwise for heavy loads to increase.
• turn clockwise to increase resistance (heavy loads).
• turn counter-clockwise to decrease resistance (light loads).
WARNING!
Maximum allowable load on tray 3.5 Kg (no x-ray fi lm viewer) or 2.5
Kg (with x-ray fi lm viewer).

9. Maintenance

Preventive maintenance
CASTELLINI S.p.A., the manufacturer of the dental units, in accordance with applicable standards I.E.C. 60601-1 second ed., I.E.C. 62353 and
directive MDD 93/42 and subsequent changes for medial devices underlines that the preventive maintenance checks for the dental unit specifi ed in
the Technical care manual and Maintenance and warranty handbook are to be carried out by authorised personnel at least once every 12 months.
ATTENTION!
The warranty is void if the equipment is serviced, repaired, altered or modifi ed in any way by personnel who have not been duly authorized
by CASTELLINI S.p.A..
Safety checks
In accordance with standard I.E.C. 62353, the safety checks specifi ed in the Technical care manual and Maintenance and warranty handbook sup-
plied with the dental unit are to be carried out at the intervals required by current local regulations. If no precise indications are given, CASTELLINI
S.p.A., the manufacturer of the dental units, recommends checking them at least every 24 months at the time of installation and whenever electrical
parts that are live are repaired/updated.
ATTENTION
The manufacturer shall not be held liable for any personal injury or equipment damage if the precautions given above are not observed.

9.1. Instrument maintenance

Maintenance instructions for the instruments are enclosed with each instrument.
ATTENTION!
Maintenance of the instruments should be carried out with the equipment shut off.

9.2. Draining condensate

Perform this operation every day before starting work.
Proceed as follows:
• put a container under the cock [ a ] found below the hydrogroup,
• loosen the cock's knob
• once emptied, completely close the cock.
9.3. Cleaning the surgical suction fi lters
ATTENTION!
ALWAYS wear gloves when performing this operation to avoid contact
with infected material.
At the end of each work day
Clean the fi lters as directed below:
• Open the door [ c ] that protects the fi lters.
• Take out the two fi lters [ d ].
• Clean/replace the fi lter (code 97290068).
NOTE: the door [ c ] can be taken off and used as a tray for the
fi lter removed.
• Put the two fi lters back in place being careful to remove any amalgam
left at the seat of each fi lter.
• Close the door [ c ].
NOTE: in order to prevent liquids from dripping or secretions from
the fi lter, these operations should be performed with the suction tube
running.
