SECONDARY SHAFT

INSPECTION

1. Inspect:
• Secondary shaft 1
Scratches (excessive)/damage → Replace.
• Splines 2
Wear/damage → Replace the secondary
shaft.
• Bearing contact surface 3
Scratches/wear/damage → Replace the sec-
ondary shaft.
2. Inspect:
• Bearing 1
Pitting/damage → Replace.
NOTE:
Install the bearing 1 so that the larger side of its
inner race 2 is facing away from the machine.
3. Inspect:
• Bearing collar nut 1
Cracks/damage → Replace.
• Collar 2
Cracks/damage → Replace.

INSTALLATION

1. Install:
• Bearing collar nut 1
• Secondary shaft 2
NOTE:
Install the bearing collar nut 1 with its chamfered
side towards the secondary sheave.

2. Install
• Drive chain housing parts
Refer to "DRIVE CHAIN HOUSING".
