Irrigation Test

Preparation
1. Switch device on using the power switch.
2. Insert the tube set.
3. Connect the irrigation tube with both fluid bags. The fluid bags have to be
suspended 1.5 m above the device.
4. Start the irrigation process:
Press the irrigation START/STOP key (LED lights up).
5. Open the flushing valve to fill the tube set completely with liquid.
6. Close the flushing valve.
Testing
1. Start test
Empty measuring cup.
2. Hold tube into measuring cup, open outlet, and stop at 30 seconds.
3. End test:
Press the irrigation START/STOP key (LED goes out). The measuring cup must
contain approx. 1,5 l (±10 %) of water.

Suction Test

1. Connect the suction system including suction container and suction and irri-
gation instrument.
Close the stopcock.
2. Press the suction START/STOP key (LED on). The device generates a negative
pressure inside the suction system.
The vacuum pump stops when a negative pressure of a maximum of -60 kPa
(-0.60 bar) has been reached.
The suction system has a leak, if the vacuum pump does not stop after 1 min-
ute. Check the suction system for leaks and repeat the test.
3. Starting the suction:
Open the instrument.
The vacuum pump automatically restarts after a maximum of 30 seconds,
depending on the instrument used, if the minimum negative pressure is ex-
ceeded.
4. Completing the suction:
Press the suction START/STOP key again (LED off).
Each successfully conducted test must be documented in the test log.
