Connecting the Fluid Bags

WARNING!
The device is only intended for use with flexible fluid bags. Do not use glass con-
tainers as they might break. Fluid cannot flow quickly enough due to the vacuum
being generated inside of the bottle. Risk of implosion.
The fluid bags must be suspended at a height of h between 0.7 to 1.0 m above the
pump (Fig. 5-13 "Hanging the fluid bags") (pump inlet to the middle of the fluid
filling in the bag).
1. The inflow tube can take irrigation fluid from two fluid bags (1). Close both
clamps (3) at the branches of the inflow tube.
2. Grasp the spike (2) at the provided handle when connecting or disconnect-
ing.
3. Comply with sterile precautions when inserting the spike into the bag.
4. Open at least one tube clamp (3) at the irrigation tube.

3. Connect the instrument tube to the instrument.
Close stopcock if using instrument with stopcock.
4. Press the irrigation START/STOP key (LED lights up).
An admission pressure of 450 mmHg is generated in the tube. This admission

5. Start the irrigation process:
Operate the trumpet valve or open the stopcock.
6. Stopping the irrigation process:
