- Cut the connecting chain between the ASL drive unit and the V80 chain drive system to size and mount it.
- Align the drive unit (drive pinion) with regard to the V80 chain drive system and tighten the screws (36).
- Stretch the chain by means of the take-up unit (35). Screw the drive unit (21) onto the Halfen frame (13) by means
of the Halfen screws (37).
- Push the hand guard (73) between the chain sides on top of the chain pinion (26) and mount it onto the flange
of the drive unit using the set screws. Fig. 29

Mounting the options

2.6.1

Mounting the brake release inside for the R20

- This option is used in cases where access to the brake release mechanism (6) on the drive unit (21) is impeded.

- Determine the position of the actuation lever (51) in such a manner that
• it is easily visible and accessible
• it will not be concealed by any of the door positions
• the Bowden cable necessary for the connection to the drive unit is as short as possible.
- Screw down the actuation lever (51) by means of the supplied fastening material. Fig. 31
- Swing out the control unit (10) on the drive unit (21). Fig. 1
- Pull the Bowden cable sheathing (52) with the inserted steel cable (54) through the socket (53) (remove the spacer
block) into the drive unit (21).
- Push the steel cable (54) through the drilled screw (55) into the plastic glider (56). Clamp the screw nipple (57)
at the end of the cable.
- Lead the Bowden cable sheathing (52) up to the drilled screw (55) without bending it. Then secure the Bowden
cable (52) by tightening the socket (53).
